A Greenhorn…

that what people on the old wild west will call me right now. i am such a newbie on my new workplace. i had solid background with art and design but not a true solid experience on broadcast area. man…

today i had so much lessons about how to make things right according to broadcast’s standard. in fact lots of lessons that remind me that although i had a very sophisticated design experience it only helps a little when you dealing with broadcast’s true experience. there are so much to learn and so little time to do all of them. phew…

so, on the fourth day of being a working man i would like to give some advise to all designer that never experienced broadcast area but considering to join the broadcast. do not take this job lightly… you maybe a great flasher or a director wizard. you maybe create one hell of multimedia animation. you maybe had a great cd full of your superb motion gallery. but the broadcast world is more that just a pretty portfolio. it takes open mind to survive. it even take away your creative mind at first because of the limitation of the media. you may think web or multimedia cd is limited but broadcasting is more limited than that. so be brave to learn new things, you will need that attitude.

so i personally like to thanks my two collegue at works, who really take their time to guide me through my first 4 days. i maybe not a very usefull person right now, but i promise i’ll pay your efforts with something more greater with your help. thanks again folks, your spirit and teaching light my world.
