At Least We’re Dreaming

August 25th, 2005

MotW aka. Music of the Week:

At Least We’re Dreaming

Eve 6

When do we get to the part where I can go home,
Been hiding inside the jungle gym for way too long
Waiting for someone to come along and find me.
Live in an apartment that bums me out
It don’t get better when the lights go out
Waiting for someone to come along and find me.
Swimming through the aisles at the grocery store
I don’t even know what I’m lookin for
Waiting for someone to come along and find me.

At least I’m breathing
At least I’m alive
As long as I’m dreaming
Everything’s gonna be all right.

Down to the corner to call collect
Your mother wants to know are you happy yet
Waiting for someone to come along and find you.
Going out at night looking for distraction
Sleeping through the day there’s no redemption
Waiting for someone to come along and find you.

At least you’re breathing
At least you’re alive
As long as you’re dreaming
Everything’s gonna be all right.

I’m all right, I tell myself twice
In the mirror before I can’t go to sleep at night
I need a lullaby I need some time
I need to get a dime bag from my guy
Well, that’s the fact, at least I am dreaming…

Please Stand Up

June 22nd, 2005

Current OST of my life:

Please Stand Up

British Sea Power

Take me somewhere quiet please

These motorway exit gates

Are calling to me dearly

And I need a place to go

And even numbers on a timetable

Arrivals and departures and

Those places, names

Never seemed so strange before

If there’s anyone asking, did you get a rush?

There’s no point in asking, it wasn’t enough

There’s nobody else here, so please stand up

If there’s anyone asking, did you get a rush?

There’s no point in asking, it wasn’t enough

There’s nobody else here, so please stand up

The occultation of a summer sun

Was burning holes in everyone

Defenceless, what was left inside could finally escape

It seemed as if the streets had melted

It seemed as if the air was scented

I wish all of time could be like this

And then all of the sudden it’s all better better

A little excitement makes us wetter wetter

Back to life…

Earworm of the week

March 12th, 2005

Unlike [Jason Kottke][jk] and [other fellow bloggers][ofb] who suffered [earworm][] syndrome with [Since U Been Gone][subg]#[1], my earworm of the week is “Life Less Ordinary” by [Carbon Leaf][cl].

Life Less Ordinary

Carbon Leaf

Live a life less ordinary

Live a life extraordinary with me

Live a life less sedentary

Live a life evolutionary with me

Well, I hate to be a bother but

Cozy Street Corner is Back

February 14th, 2005

Been wondering about this Indonesian band for a while. I was beginning to think that they were disbanded or just vanished into the void. Looks like I was wrong.

They are still exist and launch a new website and a new song! You could download the song from their website.

Great. For those who read this website for a while would know how I love this band so much. They have a unique and not-so-mainstream musical taste. Their solid performance live and in the recording is one of their many strength. Their new song still hold their spirit and unique style, so yes, I am not dissapointed at all. Great job guys.

So, get their song or even better, find their album Nirmana which I already reviewed it a couple years ago here. Enjoy.
