I am back in Lübeck since the last couple of days… been busy cleaning out my room, washing dirty clothes and stuff and refilling my fridge.

Many things to do before my second semester starts next week. Some of them are quite important some are just… well, bothering my mind…

OK, the list:

• Make rapid progress on my paid work here at school.

• Fix my Photoblog, I can not upload and/or rebuilt it. Always turn on the error 500 warning. I wonder why. I may also redesign the whole thing.

• Working on Timmendorf project (I’ll write later about this).

• Find a place for my ‘study abroad’ for the third semester. Anybody have suggestion?

• Write a new and improved list like this… Next time.

And of course, here in Lübeck the winter was already striking back… We had snow rain a couple of days ago. I think spring is caught by a traffic jam somewhere. Hopefully it will arrive soon, I am tired wearing more than a double layer of clothing…

Another report from CeBIT 2004. Well, I am just doing ‘freebies hunting’ yesterday. Just looking around try to find some cool freebies and grab some brochure about a couple of products I found quite interesting (digital cameras, usb stick, cell phone and others).

Personally I really like the new Sony Ericsson cell phone, S700. It’s a digital camera that have phone capabilities instead of the other way =). For digital camera I really like the new Nikon 3700, Konica Minolta Xg and other small compact camera. Other cute device like Swiss Army Knife USB Memory Stick also interest me very much. External Firewire harddrive is also get into my interest list… Well, I am a gadget freak so well, all of this thing really interest me very much =).

Indonesia also have a collective stand (one stand consist of many company) which are NAFED (National Agency for Export Development), Zahir Accounting Software, eBdesk and a couple of other companies. Finally, some Indonesian company have guts to show their force… Great, nice work people… You all make us proud!

Other than that? Well, let just say that CeBIT is a very interesting exhibition with lots of stuff to see and lots of freebies to grab =).

CeBIT 2004, Hannover is huge! One day was not enough for me to see all the exhibition and grab all the free goodies . It have more than 20 giant exhibition hall and lots of exhibitors.

Not many ‘new’ breakthrough technology as far as I could see, only ‘enhancement’ of the current technology and yeah, lots of new mobile phones… phone cam, especially.

On the software side… well, I can only say that are not much development… This ‘stagnant situation’ is understandable considering the current ‘downturn’ on IT business but to be honest, the prospect of brighter future is just around the corner and I am sure about that by looking into this current CeBIT altought I am not 100% optimistic.

Anyway, I will post more about CeBIT plus some pictures tomorrow because today I didn’t bring my camera with me… So until then, have a great weekend!

I am in Hannover right now. I am planning to attend CEBIT tomorrow. Hannover is a quite big and busy city especially when there is an Expo going on (Hannover is nicknamed “The Expo City of Germany”).

It sure different from Lübeck. There are a lot of modern building here, a typical modern city of Germany and Europe, and they have underground trem =). As a Lübecker I never have the privilege to enjoy riding underground (even upper ground) trem because Lübeck has not got any. I don’t know why I enjoy riding trem (I used to quite fond of trem when I was in London and Singapore).

It’s late now, I have to sleep early so I could wake up early to go to CEBIT tomorrow. Until then…
